Answer each question in essay form, typed single-spaced, on separate letter-sized paper, with one-inch margins on all sides. Type your name at the top of each page. The total word count for all four essays should not exceed 1,500 words and each essay should not exceed one page in length. COURSE

 First 8 Months : Skills & Knowledge Enhancement

A strong foundation of management skills and knowledge along with entrepreneurial and strategic thinking needed to make decisions in a complex, fast-moving environment, even with vague and chaotic information is imparted to the students. They learn to understand human behavior in organizations and peculiarities of different markets. The curriculum comprises of economics, operations, finance, marketing, accounting and control, management communication, enterprise development and strategy, whereby the students improve their management communication skills and learn micro-consumer behavior, macro-industrial analysis, and quantitative analysis.

 Second 8 Months : Finishing, Broadening & Deepening

Now, students choose to broaden their learning with a diverse mix of electives, or deepen their corporate specialization towards finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship. For instance, students preparing for a career in banking might opt five finance electives, and pursue FRM (Financial Risk Management) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification. At the end of the course, each student is required to completing a required Management Research Report (MRR), a graduate thesis that may take the form of an action-based feasibility study, a corporate strategy, an entrepreneurial venture, or a case series, to demonstrate the integration of all skills.

All students should also provide an estimated PHP450,000 or US$12,000 to cover other expenses such as dormitory, food, personal allowances and school supplies for the duration of the 16-month program.

 Scholarships & Aids

1. Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP): The ADB currently supports 10 scholars in the MBA program. Applicants must be nationals of ADB member countries, not more than 35 years of age by the time the program starts, and will be required to return to their country and be employed there after graduation. Those who already hold graduate level degrees (master’s and doctorates) are disqualified from this scholarship. ADB scholars enjoy full program fees, dormitory and personal allowances and travel expenses to AIM and back to their country of origin, among others.

2. Washington SyCip Graduate School of Business (WSGSB) Scholarships. The WSGSB offers full or half tuition waivers determined during interview. Grantees of this scholarship are required to maintain their standing in the top 40% of the class. Grantees may also be required to perform research work for a few months after graduation.

3. AIM Alumni Scholarships: These scholarships, varying from tuition only to full program fees and living expenses, is available from individual alumni or alumni associations.

4. Federal Student Aid. AIM is one of four schools in the Philippines participating in the Federal Student Aid program. Citizens of the United States can avail of Federal Student Aid to fund their studies at AIM. AIM’s Federal School Code is 31016.

 Loans

1. Social Security System (SSS) Loans: Philippine nationals who are members of the SSS can take out a loan up to 70% of the program fees.

2. Bank Loans: Loans are provided to Indian nationals from Bank of Baroda and the State Bank of India.
